It teaches children how the English code is a representation of speech. Rather than relying on memorization or guessing strategies, EBLI helps students understand the logic behind reading and spelling, leading to lasting improvements in literacy skills.

Clever Bees Tutoring provides services for children ages 4 and up. Whether your child is just beginning to learn letters or is an older student struggling with reading fluency and comprehension, EBLI instruction can be tailored to meet them where they are.

Tutoring sessions are typically 40 to 60 minutes in length, depending on the age and attention span of the child. Session length may be adjusted to ensure your child stays engaged and gets the most out of each visit.

For best results, we recommend 1-2 sessions per week. Consistent practice helps reinforce new skills and builds reading confidence. A specific schedule will be discussed based on your child's individual needs and goals.

No! tutoring sessions are provided in-person or online and always 1-on-1. This allows for focused, individualized attention and the ability to use hands-on materials that support the EBLI method. If you are interested in in-person sessions, our preferred areas are Tampa, Lutz, Wesley Chapel, and Land O’ Lakes. We can meet at your home, a library or other public and quiet places.

Common signs of dyslexia include difficulty sounding out words, slow or inaccurate reading, trouble with spelling, and avoiding reading activities. If you suspect your child may have dyslexia, a formal evaluation by a qualified professional can provide a diagnosis. Regardless of a formal diagnosis, EBLI instruction benefits any child who struggles with reading.
